Modi said environment protection was in our genetic system which did not allow anybody to harm nature to satisfy his or her needs.
He blamed western culture and life style that has introduced the concepts like "use and throw", leading to unsustainable exploitation of natural resources.
Blind imitation of western model of life style has created problems for environment in our country because that model is not suitable to our ecology and environmental system, he added.
